Slough Carers enjoy ‘Reading Friends’ session

posted in: News

Carers came together for ‘Reading Friends’ session organised by Kinder Bassi, Slough Carers Support with Alison Beer, Libraries and Culture on Thursday.

Alison said, “It was a pleasure to spend an hour with you and the lovely carers, sharing poems together. I am so glad that the group felt comfortable to read aloud, discuss and share, but also to sit back and listen and have some time to relax without feeling pressured to speak if they didn’t want to – both are equally important. It was just the right mix of reading and chatting and the conversation flowed really naturally.”

Look out for more sessions in the coming months.
