Carers Week Events- 7-13 June 2021

posted in: Carers Events, News

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who do not think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

Carers Week 7-13 June 2021: Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, more people have taken on caring responsibilities at home, YOU may be one of them. Slough Carer Groups would like to invite you to take some time out and enjoy a range of online events and activities over Carers Week!

Slough Carers Support is a Slough CVS project.

During Carers Week, Slough’s Young Carers will be taking to social media to show people living in our town and beyond, what it means to be a young carer to them. The young people attending Slough Young Carers reflect both the diversity of Slough and the diversity of carers, with regards to both the people they look after, the caring they do and its impact on their lives. Follow @SloughYC on Twitter or @sloughyoungcarers on Instagram to see what Slough’s young carers want to share with you!

Slough Young Carers are also busy designing their own week’s activity diary, from Pizza in the Park, to quizzes and outdoor activities all for young carers which will be released o their social media channels.
