Last week saw the first of the Thriving Communities Project session. Local residents, including carers, visited Café Brew Hut, Britwell, on Wednesday to enjoy a morning of henna painting, coffee and chat. Members of the Recycled Teenagers Group who also joined in the fun after their regular get together!
Satinder Batoo, a Carer from Langley and a member of ‘Friends In Need’ Group in Slough heard about the Henna Painting session from the Slough Carers Support newsletter.
He laughed as he said “I know right a man coming to do henna is funny but in olden days when you would get married in the Asian culture, they would also apply some on men, so I am going to have a go today! These activities are great to get people back outdoors and into the ‘norm’ but for me it’s a pleasure trip and a little break from my caring role.”
The Thriving Communities Project continues this month.
