Counselling and emotional support

posted in: Health, News

You can discuss a referral for counselling with your GP or you may choose to find a counsellor yourself. When looking for a counsellor you should check they are registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and qualified to practise in the area of mental health support you need.

If you are in work your employer might provide access to counselling services as part of occupational health screening. Please look at your Employee Handbook or ask your line manager or HR Manager.
