Slough Young Carers, coordinated by Aik Saath – Together As One, supports young people aged 5 to 18 (*25 SEND) living in Slough and the local surrounding area.

A Young Carer is someone who helps look after a family member struggling with an illness, a disability, a mental health condition or an addiction.

Slough Young Carers run weekly online sessions and face to face holiday programmes throughout the year. Each session/trip provides opportunities and experiences to learn new skills, connect with other young carers and get a break and some respite from their caring role all whilst having fun and making memories.

Our programme improves the wellbeing of the Young Carers we work with through an array of activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, wellbeing and mindfulness sessions, online gaming and exercise. Every session is carefully planned with the aim to increase self esteem and confidence, provide skills and tools for the future and to guide and support.
